Capture History
After every capture, a preview folder appears in the corner of your screen showing your recent captures as thumbnail cards. It’s an intermediary step between capturing and editing — giving you quick access to act on screenshots without opening the editor.
How It Works
Section titled “How It Works”When you take a capture (area, window, or screen), the captured image warps into a small folder icon in your chosen screen corner. The folder shows your most recent captures as stacked cards. Multi-frame captures show a frame-count badge on their card, so you can see at a glance which captures have extra frames to scrub.
Folder States
Section titled “Folder States”| State | Description |

| Incoming | The capture warps into the folder with a shader animation |
| Condensed | Cards are tucked behind the folder with one thumbnail peeking out |
| Rollover | Hover near the folder and cards slide out to the right |
| Expanded | Cards fan upward in a parabolic arc for easy browsing |
Card Actions
Section titled “Card Actions”Each capture card in the expanded view offers these quick actions:

| Edit | Opens the capture in the full editor |
| Save As… | Save the image to a chosen location (PNG, JPEG, WebP) |
| Copy | Copy the image to clipboard |
| Drag | Drag the image directly into another app |
| Dismiss | Remove the capture from the folder |
| Reveal in Finder | Show the file in your file manager |
Configuration
Section titled “Configuration”Corner Position
Section titled “Corner Position”Choose which corner the preview folder appears in:
Settings → Capture → Preview Folder Corner
Options: Bottom-left (default), Bottom-right, Top-left, Top-right
Dismissal
Section titled “Dismissal”- Click the × on a card to dismiss it
- Close the entire folder from the system tray menu
- The folder automatically dims when the editor is open
Multi-Monitor
Section titled “Multi-Monitor”The preview folder tracks which screen your capture happened on and appears there. When idle, it follows your cursor to whichever monitor you move to.
- The folder stays on top of other windows but passes clicks through to apps below when your cursor isn’t near it
- Cards show a 4:3 thumbnail preview of each capture
- The parabolic fan layout adapts to your screen height — more cards visible on larger displays
- Dragging from a card works as a native OS drag (macOS and Windows)
