Scrolling Capture
Capture an entire scrollable page or document in one stitched image.
How to Use
Section titled “How to Use”- Start an area capture (default ⌘⇧2 on macOS / Ctrl+Shift+3 on Windows)
- Drag to select the scrollable region
- Click the Scroll button in the capture overlay (or press the shortcut)
- Scroll the content naturally — hypershot automatically stitches frames together
- Click Done when you’ve captured everything you need
The result is a single tall image combining all the visible portions as you scrolled.
How It Works
Section titled “How It Works”hypershot captures frames at ~8 Hz and uses pixel-level alignment to stitch them into a seamless image. As you scroll, each new frame is matched against the previous one and appended to the growing stitched result.
Live Preview
Section titled “Live Preview”While scrolling, a real-time preview of the stitched image is shown in the capture overlay so you can see exactly what you’re getting.
Status Feedback
Section titled “Status Feedback”The capture HUD shows a status indicator during scrolling:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 🟢 Capturing | Frames are being stitched successfully |
| 🟡 No New Content | No scroll detected — try scrolling more |
| 🟡 Reached End | You may have reached the bottom of the content |
| 🔴 Too Fast | Scrolling too quickly for the stitcher to align frames |
| 🔴 Size Limit | Hit the maximum image height your GPU supports |
Tips for Best Results
Section titled “Tips for Best Results”- Scroll steadily — moderate, consistent speed works best
- Avoid sudden jumps — the stitcher needs overlapping content between frames
- Fixed headers are fine — hypershot detects and handles static nav bars automatically
- Click Done when finished — or the session auto-pauses if you hit the GPU size limit
Limitations
Section titled “Limitations”- Maximum stitched height depends on your GPU’s maximum texture size
- Very fast or erratic scrolling may cause alignment failures
- Works best with content that scrolls vertically in one direction
