Copy To Clipboard
Copy your screenshot directly to the clipboard for pasting into other apps.
How to Copy
Section titled “How to Copy”- Finish editing your screenshot
- Press Cmd/Ctrl+C (with nothing selected)
- Paste into any app that accepts images
Or: Click the clipboard icon in the export area.
What Gets Copied
Section titled “What Gets Copied”- The entire canvas with all annotations
- At the current export scale
- In PNG format (for maximum compatibility)
Where to Paste
Section titled “Where to Paste”Works with:
- Slack, Discord, Teams
- Email clients (Gmail, Outlook)
- Documents (Word, Google Docs, Notion)
- Image editors (Photoshop, Figma)
- Social media (Twitter/X, LinkedIn)
- Basically any app that accepts images
- Quick workflow — Capture → Annotate → Cmd+C → Paste in Slack
- No file needed — Skip saving when you just need to share once
- Full quality — Clipboard uses PNG for crisp images
Note: Copying vs. Copying Annotations
Section titled “Note: Copying vs. Copying Annotations”| Command | What Happens |
|---|---|
| Cmd/Ctrl+C (nothing selected) | Copies the entire image |
| Cmd/Ctrl+C (annotations selected) | Copies just the annotations |
If you have annotations selected, pressing Cmd/Ctrl+C copies them (for pasting elsewhere in hypershot). Deselect first if you want to copy the whole image.
