Manage devices
If you need to deactivate hypershot on a device you no longer have access to — an old laptop you sold, a machine that died, a reinstall that counted twice — you don’t need to email support. The manage page handles it yourself, in about a minute.
You can find it at hypernuclear.com/license/manage.
Signing in
Section titled “Signing in”The manage page asks for two things:
- The email address you used when purchasing
- Your license key (from your purchase confirmation email — the
XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXcode)
Both must match the license on file. If either is wrong you’ll get the same generic “invalid email or license key” message — that’s intentional, so nobody can probe which emails have licenses.
Deactivating a device
Section titled “Deactivating a device”Once signed in, you’ll see every device currently using your license, with the name hypershot reported when it activated:
- Find the device you want to remove
- Click Deactivate next to it
- The slot frees up immediately — activate on your new machine whenever you’re ready
Your session on the manage page expires after 30 minutes, after which you just sign in again.
Things to know
Section titled “Things to know”- The license key is the credential. Anyone holding your key can manage your devices — treat your purchase email like a password and keep the key to yourself.
- Deactivating doesn’t refund or cancel anything — it only frees a device slot.
- Every license — v1.x or Lifetime — is for one person on up to three personal devices (see the Terms of Service).
- If all your devices are legitimately in use and you need more slots, contact [email protected].
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| ”Invalid email or license key” | Check both fields against your purchase confirmation email; keys are case-insensitive but must be complete |
| Device you expected isn’t listed | The device may have activated under a different license key — sign in with that key instead |
| Too many failed attempts | Sign-in is rate-limited (10 tries per 15 minutes per network); wait and retry |
