Appearance
Customize how hypershot looks and feels.
Accessing Appearance Settings
Section titled “Accessing Appearance Settings”- Click the hypershot icon in your menu bar / system tray
- Select Settings
- Go to the Appearance tab
Theme Mode
Section titled “Theme Mode”| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Auto | Matches your system theme (light/dark) |
| Light | Always light theme |
| Dark | Always dark theme |
Auto is recommended — hypershot will follow your system preferences.
Accent Color
Section titled “Accent Color”Choose from 11 built-in accent color presets that apply across the entire interface:

| Blue | Classic blue |
| Purple | Rich violet |
| Pink | Warm magenta |
| Red | Bold red |
| Orange | Vibrant orange |
| Amber | Golden amber |
| Yellow | Bright yellow |
| Lime | Fresh green |
| Green | Emerald green |
| Teal | Blue-green |
Your accent choice is preserved when switching between light and dark themes.
UI Scale
Section titled “UI Scale”Adjust the size of the interface:

| 75% | Small screens, more canvas space |
| 100% | Default size |
| 125% | Easier to read, larger targets |
| 150% | High visibility, accessibility |
Changes apply immediately — no restart required.
Reticle Style
Section titled “Reticle Style”The reticle is the selection indicator when capturing:
| Style | Description |
|---|---|
| Simple | Clean white border with corner markers |
| Rainbow | Animated gradient glow effect |
| Glass | Frosted blur with subtle border |
Preview
Section titled “Preview”Try each style during your next area capture to see which you prefer.
- Dark mode + accent color — Pick a bright accent (lime, yellow) for high contrast in dark mode
- Rainbow reticle — Fun and easy to see on any background
- Glass reticle — Elegant, shows preview of captured area
