Undo Redo

hypershot keeps a complete history of your changes.

Action macOS Windows
Undo ⌘Z Ctrl+Z
Redo ⌘⇧Z Ctrl+Shift+Z

Every action is recorded:

  • Adding annotations
  • Deleting annotations
  • Moving and resizing
  • Changing colors and properties
  • Rotating and flipping
  • Frame navigation

hypershot keeps up to 500 undo steps by default. You can change this in Settings → Editor → Undo Stack Limit.

When you reach the limit, the oldest actions are forgotten to make room for new ones.

Tracked:

  • Annotation creation and deletion
  • Property changes (color, size, style)
  • Transform changes (move, resize, rotate)
  • Frame changes

Not tracked:

  • Viewport pan and zoom
  • Tool selection
  • Settings changes
  • Undo a lot — Press Cmd/Ctrl+Z repeatedly to go back many steps
  • Menu access — Edit menu shows Undo/Redo with what action will be undone
  • Fresh start — Close without saving to discard all changes
