At hypernuclear, we believe your screen is your business. This Privacy Policy explains what information hypershot collects, how we use it, and how we protect it. Spoiler: it’s very little.
1. Overview
Section titled “1. Overview”hypershot is designed to work entirely on your device. Your screenshots, recordings, annotations, and other content never leave your machine unless you explicitly choose to share or export them.
2. Information We Collect

Section titled “2.1 Information You Provide”- License key — Used to verify your purchase and activate hypershot.
- Email address — Required to activate and manage your license. Also used for license recovery, support requests, and optional product updates.
2.2 Automatically Collected Information
Section titled “2.2 Automatically Collected Information”When you activate or use hypershot, we may collect:
- Device information — Operating system version and hardware model (for compatibility and debugging).
- License validation data — A hashed license key and activation timestamp to verify your license.
2.3 Analytics Data (Optional)
Section titled “2.3 Analytics Data (Optional)”If you opt in to analytics, we may additionally collect:
- Feature usage metrics — Counts of features used (e.g., screenshots taken, annotation tools used, exports performed)
- Performance data — Application load times, render performance, and memory usage
- Crash reports — Error logs, stack traces, OS version, and device model when the application crashes
All analytics data is aggregated and anonymized — it cannot be traced back to you individually. Participation is entirely optional and can be changed at any time in Settings → Privacy → Analytics.
2.4 What We Do NOT Collect

- ❌ We do not capture, upload, or transmit your screenshots, recordings, or annotations
- ❌ We do not access your screen content beyond what is required for the app to function
- ❌ We do not collect browsing history, file contents, or personal files
- ❌ We do not use your data for advertising
- ❌ We do not sell your data to third parties
3. How We Use Your Information

- Verify your license and prevent piracy
- Provide customer support
- Improve hypershot through anonymous usage insights
- Communicate important updates about your license or the product
4. Data Storage and Security
Section titled “4. Data Storage and Security”- License data is stored on secure servers.
- All your content (screenshots, recordings, annotations) is stored locally on your device.
- We use industry-standard encryption and security practices to protect the data we hold.
5. Third-Party Services
Section titled “5. Third-Party Services”hypershot may integrate with the following third-party services:

This data is aggregated and cannot identify you personally.

Section titled “8. Children’s Privacy”hypershot is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, contact us and we will promptly delete it.
9. International Users
Section titled “9. International Users”hypershot is available worldwide. If you are using hypershot from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be processed on servers located in the United States. By using hypershot, you consent to this transfer.
10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

- Know what personal information we collect
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Opt out of the sale of your personal information (we do not sell your data)
- Not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights
